Meri Bassai is one of the most popular Nepali comedy show based on village life which telecasts on Nepali Television for about eight years now. The original main characters of this show (at the time it started) were Daman Rupakheti (as Ghar Juhai), Sitaram Katel (as Dhurmus), Kedar Ghimire (as Magne Budo), Kunjana Ghimire (as Suntali), Surbir Pandit (as Dari Ba; Dhurmus's father), Surendra KC (as Mulako Saag; Suntali's father). Daman RupaKheti opted out of this show after few years. They added many new characters in this show. Wilson Bikram Rai (as Takme Budo) become the one of the most popular comic character in show. However, due to the conflicts with production house, Kedar Ghimire and Wilson Bikram Rai opted out of the show in 2014.
